The AKM11B-ASSNR-02 is a compact servo motor produced by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a rotary actuator, it works with a compatible drive to deliver commanded torque and velocity for positioning or speed-regulated axes in automated machinery. Its compact form supports installation in confined machine spaces where a larger motor would interfere with nearby components or moving assemblies. The permanent-magnet design provides responsive motion for applications such as packaging equipment, handling systems, indexing tables, and other automated production machinery.
The motor uses a 40 mm housing cross-section that minimizes its footprint while retaining enough stator material for continuous torque production. A factory-machined IEC flange with accuracy N allows direct attachment to compatible gearheads or mounting plates while supporting precise shaft alignment. The unit is supplied without a brake, so applications that require passive holding torque must use an external locking mechanism or maintain torque through the drive. Rotor position is measured by an integrated resolver, an electromagnetic feedback device that can operate reliably in industrial environments with vibration and temperature changes.
