Product Description:
The AKM22E-ANSNR-02 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a compact rotary actuator, it converts commanded stator currents into precise shaft rotation, supplying closed-loop motion for pick-and-place modules, packaging axes, and other positioning tasks in industrial automation. The design targets machinery that requires rapid dynamic response while fitting into confined spaces on assembly lines and processing equipment, and it mates with Kollmorgen drives so multi-axis systems can follow coordinated torque and velocity profiles.
The motor’s frame dimension of 58 mm keeps the housing narrow, allowing several axes to be installed side by side in a single cabinet. It is delivered without a brake, so any load holding during power loss must be handled by an external mechanism or by the drive. The flange follows IEC with accuracy N tolerances, helping align the stator concentrically with gearheads and reduce runout. Rotor position is captured with 2 poles of resolver resolution, and the integrated resolver maintains signal integrity in high-temperature areas where optical encoders may degrade. A smooth shaft simplifies coupling to clamping hubs and eliminates keyway stress concentrations during frequent reversals.
The feedback package is housed in a Size 10/15/21 body, keeping the resolver diameter small enough for tight back-to-back installations. Magnetic length uses rotor length index 2, balancing peak torque with low inertia for brisk acceleration profiles. The stator uses an e winding, which pairs with matched Kollmorgen drives to achieve rated current density while retaining thermal headroom. All conductors exit through a special connector arrangement that separates power, feedback, and protective earth paths.
