The AKM32E-ACCNR-00 is a brushless servo motor produced by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It delivers precise, closed-loop rotary motion for positioning axes and indexing tables in automated machinery. The motor also supports light conveyor drives used throughout automated assembly and packaging cells. Its standard construction provides a practical configuration for applications that require responsive motion and reliable position feedback.
This configuration is supplied without a brake, so mechanical holding torque must be provided externally when power is removed. Power and feedback lines are routed through two SpeedTec-ready connectors, a keyed arrangement that reduces installation time and simplifies cable attachment. Rotor position is monitored by a resolver, an electromagnetic sensor that withstands vibration and high temperatures better than many optical encoders. The resolver uses a two-pole winding, providing a basic electrical angle that the drive refines through interpolation. A square housing with a face dimension of 70 mm allows the motor to bolt directly to compatible gearboxes or machine plates without adapter hardware. The embedded feedback uses the Size 10/15/21 format found across compatible AKM motor configurations.
The feedback channel is configured for single-turn sensing, so the absolute position repeats with each mechanical revolution and simplifies homing routines. Shaft torque is transmitted through a keyway, providing positive engagement with pulleys or rigid couplings. The front face uses an IEC flange with accuracy class N, which supports precise shaft alignment with compatible mounting surfaces. The magnetic stack has rotor length index 2, balancing continuous torque with low inertia for rapid acceleration. Internal winding code E sets the voltage constant for operation with compatible AKD servo drives. The brushless design eliminates commutator wear, while electronic commutation allows the connected drive to regulate torque and speed throughout repeated motion cycles.
