Product Description:
The AKM44J-ANRNMB-02 is a brushless synchronous servo motor produced by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed for direct coupling to Kollmorgen AKD or compatible third-party servo drives, the unit converts electrical power into tightly regulated rotary motion for packaging machines, electronic assembly stations, and general automation cells. Its 84 mm frame fits compact mechanical envelopes, while the standardized flange arrangement simplifies attachment to gearheads and machinery plates. The permanent-magnet rotor supports responsive torque control across repetitive positioning cycles.
Power and feedback wiring use a hybrid connector set consisting of one M23-6 power connector and one M12 feedback connector, which helps reduce electromagnetic crosstalk at the cabinet interface. The embedded optical encoder uses the DRIVE-CLiQ encoder protocol to exchange position data with the connected drive. Its native resolution is 24-bit, allowing the drive to command fine incremental movements without interpolation. The flange is prepared to IEC standards with accuracy class N, maintaining concentricity between the stator bore and the machine shaft register. Internally, rotor length index 4 provides a longer magnetic stack for continuous torque production under sustained loads. The separate power and feedback connections also allow the two cable paths to be routed independently through the machine.
The installed encoder variant is the EQN1336S. It uses a safety multi-turn optical counting track that retains absolute position across as many as 4,096 mechanical revolutions, allowing startup without a new homing cycle after a power interruption. The motor is supplied with no brake, so vertical or suspended loads require an external locking device or another means of secure load retention. A smooth shaft limits runout and accommodates zero-backlash clamping couplings without requiring a keyed connection. The stator uses the J winding designation to match the intended current and voltage characteristics of compatible servo inverters. This winding and feedback arrangement supports controlled acceleration, accurate positioning, and stable speed regulation in multi-axis machinery.
