The AKM41E-EKC2R-00 is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen and supplied within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is used for closed-loop torque and speed control on positioning and continuous-duty axes in packaging lines, material handling cells, and other automated equipment. By combining permanent-magnet excitation with integrated feedback electronics, the motor converts drive current into controlled rotary motion that can be coordinated closely with a motion controller. It also supports repeatable response during starts, stops, and speed changes on indexing tables, feed axes, and similar machine functions.

The motor includes an integrated 24 V holding brake that secures the load when drive power is removed or disabled. Power and feedback connections are routed through 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors, using a twist-lock interface that supports quick and secure cable attachment. The housing has an 84 mm frame and an open keyway shaft profile for positive torque transfer to a coupled load. The feedback section has 2-pole resolution, producing one electrical cycle for each mechanical revolution. It also provides single-turn inductive feedback, allowing the drive to track shaft position within one revolution without multi-turn gearing. The motor uses rotor length index 1, which is the shortest rotor arrangement in this frame size and helps keep inertia low for responsive acceleration during frequent speed changes. It also uses winding code e, which balances the speed constant with thermal loading for moderate-voltage drives. Resolver components in size 10/15/21 are integrated into the stator structure to preserve the compact motor envelope and support stable feedback performance.
