Product Description:
The AKM32H-ANCNDB-00 is a brushless servo motor produced by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. This compact rotary actuator converts drive current from a matched amplifier into controlled torque and speed. It supports indexing tables, pick-and-place axes, packaging equipment, and other position-critical automation tasks that require accurate and repeatable motion. Its brushless design allows electronic commutation through the connected servo drive, eliminating the mechanical wear associated with conventional brushes. The motor can regulate acceleration, speed, and position as part of a closed-loop motion system.
This model is supplied without a holding brake, so stationary loads must be secured by drive torque or external mechanics. The motor uses two field-installable SpeedTec-ready connectors to separate power and feedback wiring, enabling quick, tool-free connections. A frame size of 70 mm gives the motor a compact square flange envelope, while the IEC mounting face with accuracy class N supports concentric alignment with standardized gearboxes. Winding code H corresponds to the copper fill and stator pitch selected for medium-voltage operation. Rotor length index 2 balances rotational inertia with continuous torque capability. Position data are generated by an EnDat 2.1 encoder that transmits digital feedback to a compatible servo drive. Its optical reader provides a selectable resolution of 512 or 2048 lines per revolution for precise position and velocity regulation.
The encoder supports multi-turn optical counting, allowing it to retain absolute position across multiple shaft revolutions without battery support. Kollmorgen pairs the EQN1125/1325 sensor reference with this motor as the designated feedback device for the assembly. A smooth shaft supports secure attachment to backlash-free clamping hubs and avoids the stress concentrations associated with a keyway. This shaft interface is suitable for high-cycle equipment that requires consistent coupling alignment. The standardized mounting face also allows direct installation with compatible machine plates and gearbox interfaces.
