The AKM series by Kollmorgen features a wide variety of servomotors which have great torque, speed, and voltage input ratings. More importantly, the series offers a lot of customization in terms of additional accessories as well. The AKM series is divided into seven categories according to the increasing flange sizes; AKM1 through to AKM7.
The AKM22E-CSPNC-02 synchronous motor by Kollmorgen is an example of flexibility and accuracy. The servomotor not only meets the specific operational requirements of its clients, but its construction also meets the international standards as well. The 58 mm flange meets the alternative IEC standard. To go with that, the connectors available with the 0.5m shielded cable are IP20 protected. Talking about the accuracy, the servomotor offers a Smart Feedback Device which is one step ahead of the 2048 PPR comcoder. Apart from these special features, rotor length 2 and winding type E are the regular features common in all AKM servomotors. The model doesn’t have a holding brake.
As far as performance is concerned, the AKM22E-CSPNC-02 synchronous motor offers a maximum torque up to 2.76 Nm and can produce current up to 10.9 amperes. In standstill position, the servomotor delivers 0.87 Nm torque and 2.73 amperes current. The servomotor has a maximum mains voltage of 480 V. It weighs close to 1.1 kilograms.
