The AKM23C-ANCN2-01 is a synchronous servomotor manufactured by Kollmorgen. It falls under the AKM series and has a standstill torque between 0.48 and 1.42Nm and a 58 flange. This motor is for precision equipment which requires the proper handling of a trained technician. Its shaft and flange are vulnerable especially during assembly and storage. The user should avoid brute force when installing the motor. It is precisely designed for drives in industrial machine tools, robots, packaging machines, and other similar applications. The AKM23C-ANCN2-01 comes with permanent magnets that are essential for much-needed torque. The rare earth neodymium-iron-boron magnetic materials enable the motors to be driven dynamically. This Kollmorgen synchronous motor comes in a brushless design which mitigates the need for maintenance. Thanks to the integrated servo amplifier, communication is achieved electronically. The AKM23C-ANCN2-01 has three possible mounting positions. IM B5 (shaft end A-side), IM V1 (shaft end downwards), and IM V3 (shaft end upwards). For mounting IM V3 ensure that there is no entry of fluids. Danaher Motion recommends IM B5 mounting orientation. The motor comes with insulation material of class F and made to vibration class N according to DIN ISO 2373. Like most AKM series motors, it has several options including holding brake, Comcoder, keyway, EnDat, and radial-shaft sealing rings. The AKM23C-ANCN2-01 has a one year warranty.
