Product Description:
The AKM11E-ANC22-00 is a servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is intended for tightly controlled rotary axes in automated packaging, electronics assembly, and material-handling stations, where repeatable positioning and fast response are required. The motor converts drive current into repeatable torque through a permanent-magnet rotor and stator winding, enabling accurate moves in limited space. By integrating position feedback and a holding brake into a 40 mm frame, it serves as a compact actuator for coordinated multi-axis motion.
A 24 V holding brake keeps the shaft immobile when the drive is disabled, preventing drift on vertical axes. The motor uses 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors, whose quarter-turn bayonets secure power and signal leads without tools while maintaining sealing integrity. Closed-loop control fidelity comes from the encoder, which delivers 2048 lines/rev of incremental data. The feedback device is a Comcoder, combining incremental tracks with an absolute index in one housing. Its absolute portion provides single-turn optical position information, allowing the controller to read rotor angle immediately after power-up. This arrangement supports accurate startup and stable motion control in compact servo applications.
The feedback channel follows the EPC 15T protocol, which uses the electrical pinout required by the mating drive interface. Mounting aligns to an IEC with accuracy N flange so the pilot diameter positions the stator concentrically with gearheads or machine plates. A compact side length of 40 mm comes from the frame dimension and the rotor length index 1, helping keep inertia low for rapid acceleration profiles. The smooth shaft output accepts clamp or set-screw couplings and eliminates keyway stress concentrations. The flange and feedback arrangement support consistent alignment with compatible drive hardware.
