Product Description:
The AKM74P-ACCNR-00 servo motor is manufactured by Kollmorgen as part of the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is intended for closed-loop motion axes where precise velocity and position control are required in industrial automation. The unit couples directly to gearboxes, linear actuators, or conveyor pulleys and delivers repeatable torque while its feedback device sends position data to the drive for real-time regulation.
This model is supplied without a brake, so any static holding duty must be handled by the drive or external mechanics. Power and signal lines are routed through 2 SpeedTec Ready connectors, a twist-lock design that shortens installation time and maintains shielding continuity. Position data come from a resolver with inductive scanning that withstands high temperatures and electrical noise. The stator housing has a 188 mm square frame, allowing direct fit to IEC gearheads that share the same bolt circle. A keyway on the shaft transfers torque without relying on friction alone. The motor is supplied in the standard customization level, and its sensor head corresponds to feedback size 10/15/21, which helps keep the axial length moderate.
The mechanical interface follows the IEC with accuracy N flange configuration, supporting concentricity tolerances suited for precision couplings. Output torque capability increases with internal stack height, and this motor uses a rotor length index 4 within the 74 frame. Electrical behavior is set by the winding designation P, which gives phase parameters matched to medium-voltage Kollmorgen drives. Within the resolver, the primary and secondary coils provide a 2-pole feedback resolution that aligns with the drive’s commutation algorithm and permits smooth rotation at very low speeds. Its inductive construction helps keep calibration stable after repeated thermal cycles.
