Product Description:
The AKM2E-GNCNR-00 is a servo motor from Kollmorgen, supplied within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. This compact rotary unit is intended for closed-loop motion axes in industrial automation, where precise speed and position control are required to actuate tooling, conveyor stations, or indexing tables. By combining permanent-magnet excitation with real-time feedback, the motor delivers torque proportional to drive current and integrates easily into multi-axis systems that rely on digital amplifiers for coordination.
Electrical connectivity centers on a connector group sealed to IP65, so coolant spray or airborne particles do not reach the contacts. Power phases and signal lines exit through dual straight M23 connectors. Resolver windings provide continuous rotor angle data, and the resolver interface terminates on a 12-pin feedback plug that mates directly with Kollmorgen drives. The stator lamination stack fits inside a 58 mm square frame, allowing installation in space-restricted enclosures that follow the alternative IEC mounting pattern. The insulation system supports operating voltages up to 480 VAC, while an internal PTC sensor reports winding temperature to the drive for overload protection.
The motor housing is protected to IP54, preventing harmful dust accumulation and guarding against limited water spray when the frame is exposed. A preassembled cable whip extends 0.5 m, giving cabinet builders a short, flexible lead for routing to terminal blocks without adding splices. The three-phase supply conductors use a 4 + 4-pole arrangement so that phase segregation and shield terminations remain organized inside the connector shell. Output torque is delivered through a shaft with a keyway, simplifying coupling to pulleys or gearboxes and ensuring positive engagement during bidirectional load reversals.
