By generating torque in direct proportion to drive current, the motor works with Kollmorgen SERVOSTAR drives to execute coordinated multi-axis motion profiles. Its compact housing also makes it suitable for applications that require responsive acceleration without adding substantial mass to the moving assembly.
The square stator measures 40 mm across the frame, allowing the motor to fit within tightly spaced machine assemblies. A short magnetic stack identified by rotor length index 1 keeps the mass low and minimizes rotor inertia for rapid speed changes. An IEC flange with accuracy N supports precise alignment with standard gearheads while maintaining consistent concentricity at the mounting interface. The motor is supplied without a brake, so static holding force must be provided by drive-applied torque or an external clamping device.
