The AKM21E-ANMN2-00 is a compact synchronous servo motor produced by Kollmorgen in the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is intended for precise motion control and works with servo drives to deliver controlled torque and speed in packaging machines, electronics assembly equipment, and material-handling systems. In closed-loop operation, the motor converts electrical input into rotary motion for positioning tasks that require repeatable movement, stable response, and high cycle rates.
The integrated feedback system uses a Comcoder sensor that reports position with a resolution of 2048 lines/rev. Because the encoder is a single-turn optical device, it provides absolute position within one mechanical revolution, which supports accurate startup and axis control. In Kollmorgen nomenclature, the feedback element is identified as EPC 15T, a code used for its electrical interface and signal protocol with compatible AKD drives. The motor mounts through an IEC flange measuring 58 mm across, allowing installation on machine plates or gearboxes that use the same standard.
