Product Description:
The AKM33H-ANC21-00 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Kollmorgen within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop motion tasks, it converts electrical power into tightly regulated rotary output for pick-and-place heads, indexing tables, and electronic assembly tooling. The motor fits in small spaces yet supports high acceleration through its optimized electromagnetic design and integrated feedback channel. When combined with a Kollmorgen ServoDrive, it forms a complete actuator package that responds quickly to command changes and maintains the positioning repeatability required on multi-axis machinery.
A 24 V holding brake keeps the axis secure during power loss, so vertical or indexing applications can remain locked without external clamps. Electrical connections are routed through two SpeedTec Ready connectors, a keyed arrangement that supports tool-free quarter-turn mating. Rotor position is measured by a Comcoder system that produces 1024 lines/rev of incremental data, supplying the drive with finely stepped position information for smooth velocity loops. The sensor uses a single-turn optical design, so absolute position is retained within one revolution and resolution does not depend on magnetic elements.
The feedback chain terminates in an EPC 15T codewheel that matches the drive’s decoding electronics. The motor mounts to gearboxes or machine frames through an IEC flange with accuracy N, and its housing width follows a 70 mm frame dimension that standardizes the pilot diameter and bolt pattern across the series. The laminated stator uses winding code H, which corresponds to the torque constant and thermal profile for this size. A smooth shaft simplifies coupling to clamps or collets. The rotor length index is 3 for a medium stack height, and the configuration is supplied in the standard customization level without special modifications.
