The AKM series by Kollmorgen offers light-weight DC servo motors that promise to deliver highly dynamic operation over a long period. These maintenance-free synchronous motors have neodymium-iron boron material to deliver the precise accuracy as needed by machine tools, industrial robots, and transfer lines. Combined with SERVOSTAR certified servo-amplifiers, the AKM servo motors offer smooth and stable performance. The AKM series is available in seven variations based on flange size (from 40 mm to 188 mm) covering a wide range of torque from 0.18 Nm to 53 Nm.  

The part number AKM23D-ACM2C-00 belongs to the AKM2 category that features a flange size of 58 mm and a standstill torque ranging between 0.48 to 1.42 Nm. It weighs 1.38 kilograms. The flange conforms to the IEC standards. As compared to the AKM22E servos, this particular servo-motor has a bigger rotor length to offer better dynamics and stability. Moreover, there is a keyway to ensure smooth transmission of power, load and rotation within the accuracy requirement. This particular setup offers a rated speed of 1500 RPM, rated torque of 1.12Nm and a rated power of 0.12 kW. The AKM23D-ACM2C-00 servo motor delivers a maximum torque up to 3.84 Nm. The servomotor conforms to the NEMA insulation class F and maintains an ambient temperature under 40 degree Celsius throughout the operation.
