The Kollmorgen AKM41E-ACCNR-00 belongs to the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series and is built for precise rotary positioning in automated machinery. This servo motor has a rotor length index of 1 and uses the internal winding designation E, matching its electromagnetic characteristics with compatible midrange drive amplifiers. When connected to a closed-loop controller, the unit delivers tightly regulated torque and speed for indexing tables, carton erectors, and light gantry axes used in packaging, electronics assembly, and general material-handling equipment. Its permanent-magnet design supports responsive acceleration and accurate positioning when paired with a properly configured servo drive.
The housing has no holding brake, so the motor does not provide brake-generated holding torque when power is removed. Applications that require a stationary load during power loss must use an external clamping device or another holding mechanism. Power and feedback cables leave the rear of the motor through two SPEEDTEC-ready connectors, allowing tool-free quarter-turn locking during installation. The motor is supplied with the Standard customization level and uses standard dimensions for this configuration. An IEC flange with accuracy class N mates directly with compatible gearboxes or machine frames. The front face measures 84 mm across, keeping the footprint compact for closely spaced multi-axis mounting plates.
Motion feedback is delivered by a resolver in a Size 10/15/21 housing, which supplies analog sine-cosine signals to the drive. The sensor provides single-turn inductive feedback, allowing the drive to measure rotor position over one complete mechanical revolution. Its two-pole configuration produces the electrical position signals needed for motor commutation and smooth velocity control. Resolver technology also tolerates the vibration and electrical noise commonly encountered in automated machinery. Mechanical power is transmitted through a shaft keyway, which provides positive engagement with keyed couplings or pulleys and helps prevent slippage during repeated starting and stopping cycles.
