Product Description:
The AKM52E-ACCNR-00 is a brushless synchronous servo motor developed by Kollmorgen for the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a compact rotary actuator, it converts commanded current from a servo drive into tightly regulated shaft motion, allowing precise velocity, position, and torque control. The motor is used in indexing tables, form-fill-seal equipment, and robot joints where repeatable acceleration and high power density are required in industrial automation.
This model is supplied without a brake, so load holding for a vertical axis must be handled by the drive or an external mechanical clamp. Electrical power and feedback are routed through two SPEEDTEC-ready connectors, which use a keyed quick-lock interface for tool-free coupling and satisfy IP sealing requirements when properly mated. Rotor position is measured by a resolver, which delivers analog sine-cosine signals with absolute position information within each revolution, even at high speeds. The square housing measures 108 mm across the mounting face, placing the motor in frame size 5 within the AKM series. Its electromagnetic characteristics follow winding designation E, which provides resistance, inductance, and voltage constants suited to medium-current drives operating from 230–480 V AC mains.
The feedback device provides single-turn inductive feedback, eliminating optical discs and improving tolerance to contamination. Kollmorgen installs this element in the Size 10/15/21 package, which supports compatibility with standard resolver cables. Mechanical attachment uses an IEC flange with accuracy class N, while a keyway machined into the shaft provides positive torque transfer to gears or pulleys. The magnetic stack uses rotor length index 2, giving the motor moderate inertia for rapid start-stop duty cycles. The standard customization level retains the base option set, and the resolver uses two-pole excitation to provide stable rotor-angle feedback for the servo drive.
