This arrangement allows the drive to correct motion errors during operation and maintain stable axis behavior under changing loads. Because the motor is brushless, it avoids brush wear and supports consistent operation in continuous cycling applications.

It is equipped with a 24 V holding brake that applies mechanical torque when power is lost, preventing vertical or suspended loads from drifting. The brake is useful on axes that must remain in place during a power interruption or a controlled stop. Power and feedback are routed through two SpeedTec Ready connectors, which use a keyed quick-lock interface that resists vibration loosening. Identification code EPC 15T denotes the electrical interface and complements the J winding configuration, which sets the voltage-to-speed curve for higher base speeds on 230 V drives. Mechanical coupling is through an open keyway shaft, and the stator corresponds to Rotor length index 2, balancing thermal capacity with overall motor length. The open keyway shaft allows positive torque transfer to pulleys, couplings, or gear inputs. The motor has a standard customization level and is intended for use with AKM-compatible servo controllers.
