Product Description:
The AKM21C-ANB2DB00 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Kollmorgen and supplied within the AKM Synchronous Servo Motors series. In automated machinery, it delivers precise position and speed control when paired with a compatible drive. This arrangement supports coordinated movement for axes used in pick-and-place modules, indexing tables, and packaging lines, where repeatable motion is required throughout production.
A 24 V holding brake keeps the axis locked when motor power is removed. Power and feedback lines exit through two SpeedTec-ready connectors, allowing quick installation without repeatedly turning threaded plugs. Rotor position is captured by an EnDat 2.1 encoder that works with drive electronics supporting bidirectional digital communication. The encoder provides an effective resolution of 512/2048 lines per revolution, supplying incremental data for tight velocity control, while its multiturn optical counter tracks complete rotations across power cycles. The motor’s compact 58 mm frame fits into machines where spacing between axes is limited. Its standard customization level indicates that the motor follows the regular production configuration without project-specific factory modifications.
Mechanical attachment uses an IEC flange with accuracy class N, allowing the housing to bolt directly to gearboxes or brackets with a matching centering tolerance. Torque is transmitted through a smooth shaft, which supports clamp-style hubs and avoids the concentrated stress associated with a keyway. Inside the stator, winding code C sets the electrical constants that the drive must match for current and voltage, while rotor length index 1 establishes the active stack depth associated with continuous torque for this frame size. The built-in EQN1125/1325 feedback unit provides position data through the EnDat channel to compatible drive systems. Its digital feedback path allows the drive to monitor shaft position and rotational movement while regulating the connected axis.
