X20 Fieldbus I/O Modules are a slice-based remote I/O platform intended for industrial automation tasks and are designed as open equipment for installation inside an enclosed control cabinet by qualified personnel.
Each station uses a modular three-part concept—terminal block, electronics module, and bus module—so wiring can stay in place while the electronics are replaced for faster service and reduced downtime. The system uses a push-in terminal approach that supports tool-free wiring, defined conductor sizes, and built-in test/probe access to simplify commissioning and troubleshooting. X20 stations communicate over the X2X Link/X2X+ backplane concept, allowing modules to be installed directly adjacent or separated by cable runs, with addressing derived from the physical module position and options for fixed node numbering when required. Diagnostic capability is provided through module and channel LED indicators and through configuration/identification handling that supports automatic recognition during setup and maintenance.
