Product Description:
The X20PD0011 is a power distribution module manufactured by B&R Automation for the X20 Fieldbus Input Output Modules series. It occupies a single slot on the X20 backplane and delivers a shared supply potential as well as a protective earth reference to neighboring I/O slices. In distributed control panels, this module simplifies wiring because the incoming feeder can be landed once on the bus carrier while the X20PD0011 routes that potential to each connected channel, supporting compact layouts in industrial automation cells.
The module is specified for temperatures from -25 °C during cold startup up to 60 °C when mounted horizontally, with a vertical orientation limit of 50 °C. Operation is allowed at site elevations up to 2000 m, so standard switching cabinets on plant mezzanines or in mid-rise facilities stay within range. Humidity tolerance reaches 95% RH without condensation, permitting installation in washdown or tropical production zones provided the cabinet maintains enclosure integrity. These operating limits, together with overvoltage category II isolation, permit direct connection to building-level power circuits while leaving surge suppression to upstream protection devices. A vibration endurance of 1 g and a shock resistance rating of 15 g reduce the need for additional dampers on typical machinery frames.
The distributed potential is tied internally to GND, and the terminal strip offers 12 individual ground connection points so multiple sensor shields or protective earth leads can be landed without stackable jumpers. An integrated fine-wire fuse guards the common rail; if an external short occurs, the blown link isolates only the affected segment instead of tripping the plant supply. The housing carries an IP20 ingress rating, reflecting its intended placement inside a closed control cabinet rather than on exposed machine faces.
