The B & R Automation X20CP1382-RT controller integrates an L1 cache with 16 kB for both data and program code and a 128 kB L2 cache. It includes an integrated I/O processor that handles I/O data points in the background. The device offers one modular interface slot and supports 32 kB FRAM remanent variables with over 10 years of retention. The shortest task class cycle time is 1 millisecond. Interface IF7 of this controller supports CAN bus communication with a maximum transfer rate of 1 Mbps over distances up to 1000 meters.
