Product Description:
X20SM1426 is a stepper motor module. When used with X20 PLCs, it can be used to control one stepper motor. Unlike traditional motors that spin continuously, a stepper motor moves in discrete steps, which makes it particularly useful for precise control of position, speed, and acceleration. The module can supply 24 Volts DC to the motor with maximum current of 1 Amp. Four digital inputs on the module can be used as encoder inputs or limit switches. One motor bridge power unit on the module is a 2-phase bipolar stepper motor. The maximum current is 1.2 Amps for 2 seconds, which requires a minimum recovery time of 10 seconds at 1 Amp output. The controller frequency is 38.4 kilohertz. Capacitance of the DC bus is 57 microfarads. The step resolution is maximum 256 micro steps per step.
The four digital inputs are rated for 24 Volts DC. The hardware input filter delay is less than 5 microseconds. These inputs support 1-wire connections. The typical input resistance is 18.2 kiloohms. The low switching threshold is less than 5 Volts DC. The high switching threshold is greater than 15 Volts DC. Additional functions include one ABR incremental encoder with 16-bit counter size and maximum 50 kilohertz input frequency. The 20SM1426 module three LED status indicators. Module diagnostics are accessible via software. The module bus draws is 0.01 Watts. Internal I/O on the module draw 1.8 Watts. The X20SM1426 module is certified by a multiple standards bodies, including HazLoc, CE, UL, KC, and ATEX. The motor module enclosure complies with IP20 requirements. Operators can install the X20SM1426 module vertically and horizontally. Only qualified technical personnel with training and experience should handle the module.
