The X20DS4387 digital counter module is an exquisite equipment in the X20 series that is manufactured by B&R Automation. The unit is an has multiple IO links that can be connected with various automation system components like actuators and intelligent sensors for a complete control over the configuration. The unit offers digital communication protocol and electrical connection data for use by the sensors and actuators for data exchange during various automation tasks. The unit is designed to be compact so it takes up lesser space and it gives a robust performance even at higher temperatures. The X20DS4387 digital modules supports 4 IO-link interfaces per module which allows for ample sensors or actuators to be connected per module. It comes with status indicators which depict IO-link operating state and module status. The diagnostic functionality of the module allows for module run/error check, IO-link operating state check, and C/Q status check. It supports a 3 pin standard sensor cable and maximum cable length is 20 m. The line capacitance of the unit is maximum 3 nF. The loop resistance of the module is maximum 6 ohms. The internal I/O power consumption is 1.6 W and the device can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. In vertical orientation, it can be operated from 0 to 45 degree celsius and in horizontal orientation it operates in a temperature range of 0 to 55 degree celsius.
