The X20CM0289 is an energy measurement and synchronization module from B & R automation. In the servo system, this unit is used to handle multifunctional power measurement tasks; It also contains a synchronization unit that is able to meet all demands. Applications where this module is useful include four-wire AC networks with a phase voltage up to 480 volts, and Aron measuring circuits. Apart from the ability of the synchronization unit of this product to monitor the phasing and phase voltage of this product, its intelligent design also allows it to monitor the rate of change of the phase voltage, allowing for a more rational switching of the synchronization output. An overcurrent thermal monitoring capacity is included as a functionality of this product; this feature uses the thermal capacity from the motor to allow short overloads while still ensuring that full overtemperature protection is provided to the circuit.

The X20CM0289 features a LED status indicator that provides information about the channel status, operating state and module status. The way this indicator provides this information is clearly stated in the documentation included in its delivery package. The X20CM0289 carries several international certifications and authorizations, including the CE, ATEX, UL, EAC and KC certifications. There are a total of five digital outputs on this unit; these outputs are current-sourcing FETS that operate with a nominal voltage of 24 volts and total nominal current of 0.5 amperes. In the event of overheating, the digital outputs are automatically shut down to prevent damage.
