Product Description:
X20CM8281 is a mixed I/O module with digital and analog inputs and outputs. It works with X20 PLCs from B &R Automation. The module is equipped with four digital inputs, two digital outputs, one analog input, one analog output and further special functions. The nominal voltage for the digital input channel is 24 volts DC and the typical current is 3.3 milliamps at 24 Volts DC. These input work with 1-wire connections and have 7.18 kiloohms resistance. The inputs support 20 kilohertz even counting and gate measurement. The two event counters work with square wave pulse waveforms with maximum 20 kilohertz input frequency. The counter size is 16 bits. The one gate time measurement channel works with square wave pulse waveforms. The counter size is 16 bits. The internal counter frequency can range from 48 MHz, to 187.5 kHz.
The single analog input channel works with ~10 Volts or 20 milliamps, or 4 to 20 milliamps input via different terminal connections. The analog to digital conversion time is 400 microseconds with ~12 bit resolution for input voltages and 12-bit resolution for current. The two current-sourcing FET output channels support 24 Volts DC nominal voltage with 0.5 Amps nominal output current and 1 Amp total output current. The X20CM8281 module is available in an IP20 rated enclosure. It can be installed in the horizontal or vertical orientations. The recommended installation altitude is up to 2000 meters.
