Product Description:
The X20BT9100 is made primarily for supplying the internal I/O of various X20 modules. As a lightweight bus transmitter, this device is compatible with B&R's bus modules, such as the X20BM11, X20BM12, X20BM15, X20BM21, X20BM31, and many more. It allows a maximum connection of 100 meters and operates at the rightmost slot of the system. The X20BT9100 is a valuable component for expanding the reach of a system. Since most products by B&R are modular in nature, this bus transmitter plays a crucial role in sectionalizing the system into smaller parts, allowing the user to modify certain parts of the system without affecting others at any time.
The X20BT9100 supports two famous terminal blocks manufactured by B&R. These terminal blocks are the X20TB06 and X20TB12. The first terminal block has 6 pins, while the latter has 12 pins. Aside from the bus module and the terminal block, the X20BT9100 may also be used with optional accessories such as the X67CA0X99.1000 and the X67CA0X99.5000. Both optional accessories are cables for assembly, with the first one supporting a distance of 100 meters and the second one supporting up to 500 meters. The X20BT9100 may be installed horizontally or vertically using a DIN rail. When installing this bus transmitter, proper distance and spacing must be observed with adjacent modules.
During operation, the maximum bus power consumption of the X20BT9100 is 0.5 watts. When the X20BT9100 functions as a bus transmitter, its I/O consumes at most 0.1 watts. On the other hand, when operated as a supply module, the total power consumption goes up by 0.6 watts. The X20BT9100's input I/O supply supports a voltage range of 20.4 to 28.8 volts DC.
Frequently Asked Questions about X20BT9100:
Q: What is the recommended spacing for the X20BT9100?
A: The distance of the X20BT9100 from adjacent modules must not be less than 12.3 millimeters and not greater than 12.7 millimeters.
Q: How good is the X20BT9100's built-in diagnostics?
A: The X20BT9100 has a fully-functional diagnostics system designed to let the user know about the current status of the module and X2X bus function. This diagnostic system is achieved through the product's software and a set of status LEDs.
Q: Is the X20BT9100 compliant with international certifications?
A: Yes, the X20BT9100 complies to the following certifications: CE, UKCA, EAC, HazLoc, ATEX, KC, and UL.
Q: What is the X20BT9100's behavior during a short circuit?
A: Ideally, when a short circuit occurs, the X20BT9100 ceases operation. This behavior is expected assuming that the required line fuse terminates connection when abnormal current flows.
Q: What is the permissible load current in the X20BT9100's input I/O supply?
A: The X20BT9100 permits up to a maximum load current of 10 amperes. Beyond this value, it is possible for the line fuse to break connection.
