The X20hb8884 is a compact link selector module produced by B & R Automation for the X20 Fieldbus Input Output Modules series. The device is inserted into the remote I/O rail to direct Ethernet-based traffic between controller segments, enabling redundant topologies and daisy-chain extensions without external switches. By isolating segments at the physical layer, it preserves deterministic communication during time-critical machine sequences and reduces field wiring.
