B&R Automation’s X20 Fieldbus Input Output Module model, X20BC008U, is a small and rugged interface module.

It is optimized to be fully integrated into contemporary systems of industrial controls with the POWERLINK communication protocol. This module has two POWERLINK interfaces realized through conventional RJ45 connectors, allowing network devices to be connected flexibly via a daisy chain and easing wiring in distributed control systems. It operates on a 24 VDC source and consumes a very low maximum current of 70 mA only at 24 VDC, which makes it energy efficient, which is crucial when used in large installations.
