Product Description:

The X20CMR010 is an essential B&R Automation module under the X20 series, designed for monitoring the ambient conditions within a cabinet. Aside from monitoring the environmental temperature and humidity, it also stores operating cycles and/or switch-on cycles of a machine. It is equipped with a 512 kB flash memory, allowing the user to store data directly in the module. In case of sudden network interruptions, this module continues seamless operation thanks to its blackout mode. It dedicates a set of indicators and diagnostics, built for giving the user feedback about the module's status, operating states, and errors.

As a monitoring module, the X20CMR010 consumes an estimated power of 0.4 watts and operates between an ambient temperature of -25 and 60 degrees Celsius at horizontal mounting. Its 512 kB flash memory features eight sectors, having 64 kB each, and retains information for up to 20 years at 55 degrees Celsius. The guaranteed write/erase cycle for each sector of its memory is 100,000. Since the X20CMR010 measures the ambient conditions in a control cabinet, it employs a temperature and humidity sensor. The sensor is integrated internally in the module, and it samples every second. The sensor has a range of -25 to 125 degrees Celsius, a maximum absolute value error of 0.3 deg C, and a resolution of 1 deg C per LSB.

The X20CMR010's humidity sensor, on the other hand, has a range of 5 to 95 percent at a resolution of 1 percent per LSB. When the relative humidity is between 10 and 80 percent, the humidity's maximum absolute value error is 2%. On the other hand, when the relative humidity falls below 10 percent or exceeds 80 percent, the absolute measurement error is 3%.

Internal Product Review

  • ‘‘The X20CMR010 provides an accurate means to measure the ambient conditions within a control cabinet. Since many X20 modules can only operate at a recommended temperature and relative humidity range, this monitoring module provides a way to prevent damaging other modules due to inappropriate ambient conditions.’’
