Product Description:
The X20TB06 terminal block is manufactured by B & R Automation for use with modules in the X20 Fieldbus Input Output Modules series. Within an automation panel, it provides the removable wiring interface that links field conductors to the electronic backplane, letting an I/O slice be exchanged without disturbing the installed cables. The block’s purpose is to speed configuration changes and minimize downtime in machine control systems.
The block employs a Push-In spring clamp so stripped conductors can be inserted directly, and the retention force comes from the internal spring rather than a screw. It presents 6 signal contacts arranged across 2 terminal rows with 3 pins per row, supporting compact stacking of adjacent slices. Rated mechanical durability is 50 cycles, meaning the connector can be inserted and removed that number of times before its holding force drops below the required level. Wiring is handled by the tool-free method, which accelerates assembly on the panel front. Conductor capacity covers single wires up to 2.50 mm², fine-stranded leads also up to 2.50 mm², ferruled wires up to 1.50 mm², and double ferrules up to 2 × 0.75 mm², so the same block accepts common sensor, actuator, and supply gauges used on 24 V field circuits.
Electrical keying at 24 VDC prevents the block from being seated on a rail segment carrying a different potential. The wiring side is supplied in the detached state, allowing harnesses to be prepared in advance while the electronics carrier remains separate until final installation. For repetitive builds, factory coding supports slot-specific tab removal so modules cannot be mixed up during service. A 2 mm probe can be inserted through the dedicated opening, and the presence of test probe access eliminates the need to disturb the field wiring while measuring voltage or continuity.
