Product Description:
The X67CA0E41.0050 is an Ethernet patch cable assembly produced by B&R Automation for its X20 Fieldbus Input/Output Modules series. It links remote I/O nodes to switches or controllers in distributed control systems on the plant floor. The cable carries data traffic and Power over Ethernet through one assembly, reducing the number of separate connections required between networked devices.
The assembly has a fixed length of 5 m and contains four conductors, each with a cross-sectional area of 0.34 mm², to carry signals and power without excessive loss. Its nominal outer diameter is 6.5 mm ± 0.2 mm, allowing compatibility with suitable cable glands and requiring a minimum bend radius equal to eight times the outer diameter for flexible routing inside machines. Category 5, Class D construction supports a bandwidth of 100 MHz and bidirectional data rates of 10/100 Mbit/s for fieldbus communications. The pair geometry, foil layer, and 85% braided shield limit crosstalk and help preserve signal integrity in areas with electromagnetic noise. For applications that transmit power and data together, the dielectric provides pair separation at a maximum working voltage of 60 V during PoE service.
When properly mated, the cable provides IP67 protection against dust ingress and temporary submersion. It can be installed at temperatures from -30 to 70 °C, and its polyurethane outer jacket remains flexible in cold areas while tolerating oil splashes. Copper loop resistance is limited to 120 Ω/km or less at 20 °C, helping control voltage drop in PoE applications. Insulation resistance is 500 MΩ/km or greater at 20 °C, reducing the risk of leakage current between conductors. Flame-retardant, noncorrosive FRNC wire insulation and a 2,000 V wire-to-wire test voltage provide additional protection during overvoltage events. The cable also has a length tolerance of +0.01 m, allowing predictable routing and cable management in modular enclosures.
