Product Description:
The X20AI2632-1 Input Output Module is designed by B & R Automation for high precision signal acquisition in demanding automation environments which features a ±15-bit resolution analog-to-digital converter that can detect minute variations in voltage across a wide input range.
The X20AI2632-1 module can accept signals from two separate analog sources in which each channel is capable of interpreting either a voltage signal that swings from minus 11 volts to plus 11 volts or a current signal ranging anywhere between 0 and 22 mA. It comes with visual indicators such as LEDs, that are provided for each channel to show what function it's performing and it has additional lights which display whether the module is active and its health state. It also features built in diagnostic functions which allow the system to monitor the health and behavior of the module and it can detect whether it is operating normally, if there is a fault in the analog input readings or if the configuration for a channel doesn’t match expected settings. The amount of electrical energy drawn from the backplane bus for internal operations is extremely low which is just 0.01 watt which allows for energy efficient operation and reduces heat generation.
This X20AI2632-1 module has two input signal types such as ±11 V voltage and 0 to 22 mA current that are wired differently and the hardware provides separate terminals or pin configurations for each type to ensure accurate measurement and eliminate wiring mistakes. In this module each analog input is measured between two signal lines rather than using a single-ended reference which enhances noise immunity and is particularly useful in environments with electrical interference or applications that involve extended cable lengths.
