Product Description:
The X20cDO9322 is a digital output module manufactured by B&R Automation within the X20 Fieldbus Input Output Modules series. Designed for industrial automation systems, it converts controller commands into discrete load signals so field devices such as relays, solenoid valves, and stack lights can be driven directly from the rack. The unit occupies a single slot on an X20 backplane, which helps keep control cabinets compact while allowing output capacity to be expanded as needed. In normal use, it gives the controller a direct way to switch field actuators without adding unnecessary interface hardware for many standard loads.
Its channel density is 12, so one module can switch a dozen independent circuits. Each channel can deliver up to 0.5 A of load current, which is suitable for common pilot-duty coils and indicator devices. The nominal field supply is 24 VDC, matching the control voltage used by many industrial components. Because the module uses sourcing outputs, it supports common-negative wiring arrangements in control panels. The housing has an IP20 protection rating, which means the terminals are finger-safe but the module must be installed inside an enclosure. Electrical clearance and creepage comply with Overvoltage Category II, so the unit is intended for circuits located downstream of the main service disconnect.
The module can be operated at elevations up to 2000 m above sea level. It remains functional in atmospheres reaching 100% RH, and condensation is permitted because a protective conformal coating is applied to sensitive circuitry. The design tolerates continuous vibration of 1 g, helping it remain stable in machinery that produces regular mechanical movement. It also withstands mechanical shock up to 15 g without interrupting normal operation. These limits make the module suitable for cabinet-mounted automation equipment installed in humid and mechanically active industrial environments.
