The slim housing allows the processor to sit directly beside digital and analog slices, which helps minimize panel space and enables deterministic control of connected sensors and actuators.

Nonvolatile storage includes CompactFlash application memory plus an onboard flash device of 2 GB for recipes, log files, and system data.
