Product Description:

X20TB72 is a X20 series terminal block. It is a product of B & R Automation. It is specifically designed for use with 240 Volts AC SafeIO modules that have 12 connections. The terminal block is designed for tool free wiring. Wires can be simply pushed in for strong connections. A lever or screwdriver can be used to release connections. These features make use of the terminal block easy and convenient. Additionally, each connection can be labeled and customized coding is available. Each contact on the X20TB72 is equipped with an opening where a test probe can be inserted for measurements of electrical characteristics. There are 12 pins on the terminal block. These pins are safety-keyed. Typically 10 N force is required for pushing in wires for making connections.

Only high-quality copper wiring should be used for making connections with the terminal block. Aluminum wires are specifcally not to be used for making external connections. The recommended wire size is 28 to 14 AWG for solid wires. The recommended wire size is 24 to 14 AWG for fine-stranded wires. The separation between adjacent above and below contacts is 10.96 millimeters. The nominal voltage is 240 Volts AC and the maximum voltage is 300 Volts AC. Nominal current rating per contact is 10 Amps. The ambient temperature and relative humidity corresponds to the X20 module that is used with the X20 series terminal block. Proper wire stripping is mandatory for strong wiring connections. B & R recommends stripping lengths not less than 7 millimeters or in excess of 9 millimeters. The X20 terminal block must be installed and operated by trained professionals with proper experience.
