The X20HB2880 is one of the industrial automation system's components in the X20 Series that is made by B & R Automation that is responsible for network communication and connectivity. This module has two RJ45 shielded connectors which are critical for quality Ethernet connections. The module works in the mode of power consumption of 1.17 W. The module has provisions to support a transfer rate of one hundred Mbits per second in line with the 100BASE-TX physical layer. Half-duplex mode enables the transmission of data in only one direction at an instance while the auto negotiation allows the choosing of the best possible mode of operation for the connection to the network.
