B&R Automation manufactures the X20DOF322, a digital output unit in the X20 Fieldbus Input Output Modules series. The module fits on a fieldbus backplane and supplies switchable DC power to actuators such as solenoid valves, lamps, or contactors. By converting internal logic commands into discrete voltage levels for external devices, it links the controller’s program to real-world machine elements in distributed industrial automation architectures.
