The X20DO2322 from B & R Automation is one of its types of digital output modules in the X20 Series which can be applied in different automation systems. This module can work at a nominal voltage of 24 VDC and supports a switching voltage range from 24 VDC -15% to +20%. It has the ability of controlling a nominal output current of 0.5 A per channel, the total nominal current ratings of the module being 1 A only.

Another important aspect of X20DO2322 is that when used with resistive loads, it has the capability of switching at maximum frequency of 500 Hz thus making it suitable for high switch on/off operations. The switching time is also very low with the transition from 0 to 1 as well as from 1 to 0 taking less than 300 us. The module also includes status LEDs, and software for effectively troubleshooting. These diagnostics can show different output errors and the general state of the module, which will allow for a quick detection of problems and their solving in real time. Also, the module is equipped with over current protection with peak short circuit current of less than 12 ampere.

The X20DO2322 can be installed in any orientation with the ability to be mounted in both the horizontal and vertical positions. It has an operational temperature of -25 to 60 degree for the horizontal position while it is -25 to 50 degree for the vertical position, this makes it suitable for all climatic conditions.
