Product Description:

The X20CAT4222 is an advanced module by B&R Automation that is aimed at increasing the diagnostics and monitoring functions of industrial systems. The device has a rich set of status indicators on I/O function per channel basis and general status of operation and the module to help in monitoring the performance of the system.

This module is also fitted with diagnostic functions which include both lighting as well as software to indicate the running/ fault state of the module and the inputs. These features help in easy troubleshooting and maintenance thus reducing downtime and improving the system stability. The power consumption of the X20CAT4222 is quite low at only 0. 01 W from the bus and 1. 1 W internally for I/O operations. It has a conversion time of 20 ms per channel with a 50 Hz filter and 40 ms per channel for configurations with two to four channels to ensure fast response in any environment. The conversion process of the developed microcontroller is done using the sigma-delta modulation technique, which is known to be very accurate and efficient. The sensor type is highly configurable per channel, supporting PT100 and PT1000 sensors and working in the temperature range of -200 to 850 C, which makes the device suitable for many industrial applications.

The module has a common mode range of greater than 0. 7 V and has an isolation voltage of 500 V between the channel and the bus, making it safe and reliable in high-voltage systems. The internal linearization method enhances the accuracy of readings, and the module boasts maximum errors at 25 C for gain and offsets at 0.037% and 0.0015% respectively, with nonlinearity less than 0.001%, showcasing its high precision and reliability in critical measurements. The product is available at Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty period.
