Product Description:
The X67CA0E41.0030 is an Ethernet patch cable supplied by B&R Automation for use with devices in the X20 Fieldbus Input Output Modules series. This preterminated RJ45-to-M12 cable links distributed I/O nodes to switches or controllers in harsh machine environments. It carries network data and Power over Ethernet to compatible modules, reducing the need for separate power wiring. The cable is intended for on-machine installation where protection from contaminants and resistance to vibration are required. Its molded connectors provide secure interfaces for communication between field modules and a central controller.
The molded polyurethane jacket provides continuous resistance to oil and abrasion while keeping the overall diameter at 6.5 mm. The cable has a conductor layout of 4 x 0.34 mm², equivalent to four 22 AWG conductors, providing sufficient copper capacity for the intended connection. Its fixed length is 3 m, and its weight of 0.064 kg per meter helps limit the load placed on cable carriers and machine-mounted supports. A factory-applied RJ45 plug connects to compatible panel ports, while a D-coded M12 connector at the opposite end mates with protected field modules. When properly tightened, the M12 coupling provides an IP67 cable-side connection. The cable supports Category 5 / Class D performance up to 100 MHz and a data rate of 10/100 Mbit/s. These capabilities allow the assembly to carry industrial Ethernet traffic without requiring separate external shielding accessories.
Electrical continuity is supported by a loop resistance of ≤120 Ω/km, which limits resistive losses along the conductors. Insulation resistance is rated at ≥500 MΩ/km at 20 °C, helping isolate the internal conductors during normal operation. The twisted conductor arrangement withstands a dielectric test voltage of 2000 V. The assembly also supports an operating voltage of up to 60 V, making it suitable for compatible Power over Ethernet connections. D-coding maintains the required conductor arrangement for full-duplex Ethernet communication and helps preserve signal separation between transmission paths. The molded terminations reduce exposed connection points and support stable operation where repeated machine movement, oil exposure, and airborne debris may be present.
