Product Description:

The B & R Automation X20DI9372 is a digital input module from the X20 Series which is suitable for a wide range of applications. It works at a nominal voltage of 24VDC and it has a typical input current of 3.75 mA. This module is designed according to the EN 61131-2 Type 1 input characteristics thereby guaranteeing the recommended standards of reliability.

The X20DI9372 has mechanical and electronic control input filters. The hardware input filter has a response time of less than 100us while the software input filter is set by default to 1ms, but can be tuned in the range of 0 to 25ms with the step of 0. There are 2 ms intervals to meet various applications of the system depending on the user's preference. Communication is done via 1-wire connections and source input circuit which is quite common in a majority of industrial automation systems. It has input impedance of approximately 6. 4k?, to ensure the stability of the signal received. The switching thresholds are set with the threshold low at less than 5 VDC and the threshold high at more than 15 VDC thus ensuring that the signal can be detected with the input voltage of 24 VDC ~20%.

Safety is also enhanced by the isolation voltage of 500 V which is between the channel and bus to protect the module from electric noise and enhance safety particularly in industrial applications. The module is capable of functioning in different environments with a horizontal mounting orientation having an operating temperature between -25 degrees C to 60 degrees C while for vertical mounting the operating temperature is between -25 degrees C to 50 degrees C. It is also able to maintain the storage temperature range of -40 degrees C to 85 degrees C.
