The X20SRT806 safety I/O module is manufactured by B & R Automation for the X20 Fieldbus Input/Output Modules series. It mounts on a standard X20 backplane and exchanges safe process data with the controller over the fieldbus. The module combines configurable inputs, outputs, and test-pulse channels so that emergency stops, guard doors, and muting sensors can be wired directly on the machine frame. Integrated line monitoring and electronic short-circuit detection provide high diagnostic coverage in distributed fail-safe architectures.

Eight safe inputs comply with Type A sensing rules, and the model provides 8 individually monitored channels that accept 24 V signals from contact or semiconductor devices.
