The MS2N Synchronous Servo Motors (IndraDyn S) from Bosch Rexroth are a redesigned servo-motor generation with more than 50 motor types across multiple sizes, covering maximum torques up to 360 Nm and maximum speeds up to 9,000 rpm.
The series targets high power density and energy efficiency through an optimized electromagnetic design and compact construction, and it supports field-weakening operation with IndraDrive controllers to extend the usable torque-speed range beyond the voltage limit. MS2N motors can act as a data source by storing individual motor values plus saturation and temperature data in motor data memory, which IndraDrive uses in real time to improve torque precision and reduce operating tolerances. Installation is simplified with an optional single-cable connection (with cable lengths up to 75 m without additional components) using turnable quick-lock connectors, while dual-cable wiring is also supported depending on motor size and connector selection. Configuration options include low or medium rotor inertia (by size), singleturn or multiturn encoder variants with multiple accuracy classes, and mechanical choices such as smooth or keyed shafts, optional shaft seals, an energy-saving holding brake, and optional integrated fans on larger sizes.
