Designed with precision in mind, the MS2N04-C0BNN-BMDH1-NNNNN-GE080N1004BN-NN from Rexroth is a high-speed servo motor that is perfect for industrial-level applications such as robotics, packaging, manufacturing, etc., as it can position the shaft of the servo motor with accuracy using the multiturn absolute encoder that uses the Hiperface interface. This encoder produces 128 pulses per rotation, allowing the shaft to be placed with higher accuracy. The Hiperface encoder interface comes with a CRC error-checking option and the checksum operation to ensure the data being transferred to the motor controller is as accurate as possible for a smooth communication experience.
This motor design comes with a double-cable M17 cable, which is rotatable and is a screw-on type connector that makes it easier for operators to use this motor. The torque constant of this motor is 1.74 Nm per ampere allowing this servo motor to be very highly efficient when it comes to utilizing power. The copper coil on this servo motor has a resistance of 2.1 ohms which ensures plenty of current being used for the generation of the electromagnetic field for rotation of the shaft, along with coil inductances of 1.7 mH to ensure suppression of voltage spikes within the supply to the motor coil.
This motor comes with an electrically released braking system where the servo motor uses a 5 Nm holding brake to prevent the shaft from spinning or moving from its desired position. Even if the motor loses power, the brake will remain clamped. The clamping delay of this servo motor is around 30 ms while the release delay is approximately 45 ms. This servo motor comes with an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating to keep the servo motor safe and protected against harsh industrial weather.
