The MS2N04-D0BQN-CSSH1-NNNNN-NN is part of Rexroth's high-speed and torque servo motors that come in a compact size and can be used in manufacturing, packaging, CNC machines, drilling, etc. This servo design is a low-inertia design that comes with a rotor torque inertia rating of 0.0002 kgm² which is very low and helps the servo to rotate at faster speeds, allowing it to go to its maximum speed of 6000 rpm in a matter of milliseconds.
This servo motor is very precise thanks to the inclusion of an encoder attached to the back side of the motor shaft at side B of the motor design that is responsible for tracking the rotation of the shaft, as well as the position of the motor shaft and at what angle it must rotate. The Hiperface encoder module uses pulses of sine waves, and for one complete rotation, this encoder generates around 128 pulses. The encoder limits the shaft rotation to once with a 360-degree complete rotation. To operate the encoder, a supply of 7 to 12 volts DC is required.
The winding resistance of the motor coil on this servo motor is 4.87 ohms, which helps with the current flow within the motor coil. The maximum current limit of this servo motor is 17.3 amperes, while the rated current draw for this motor is 2.12 amperes. For every ampere of current drawn, the servo motor is able to generate 1.48 Nm of rotational torque. This AC servo motor is very compact and hence can be installed in a highly dense plant system with constricted access as the cabling is also very easy to perform along with a rotatable connector design.
