MS2N05-C0BNN-AMDH1-NNANN-NN is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor. It requires 3-phase AC input. This AC power is supplied by a Bosch motor controller. In addition, the controller receives feedback from the motor and manages its speed and torque. This motor is a synchronous motor. Its speed is in sync with the input power supply frequency. MS2N motors can support a number of options, including a holding brake, different encoders, different shaft designs, and different cooling methods. Bosch has designed the MS2N05-C0BNN-AMDH1-NNANN-NN motor with a smooth shaft, a basic performance encoder, and the motors dissipates heat via convection cooling. There is no sealing ring on the shaft. An electrically released holding brake is installed on the motor. Holding torque of the brake is 10 Nm. The voltage and current ratings for the brake are 24 Volts DC and 0.73 Amps.

Maximum connection time for the brake is 30 milliseconds and the maximum disconnection time is 80 milliseconds. With the brake, the mass of the motor increases to 7 kilograms. The integrated encoder on the MS2N05-C0BNN-AMDH1-NNANN-NN is a multiturn absolute device with Hiperface. Two M17 connectors are provided on the unit, where one is designated for motor power and the second is used for feedback. These connectors can be rotated freely. Nominal speed of the servo motor is 3000 RPM. Under higher loads it can sustain 6000 RPM speeds. The motor has five pole pairs.
