Product Description:

Bosch Rexroth Indramats MS2N04-B0BNN-AMDK0-NNNNN-NN motor has a K-keyway with a shaft seal. The keyway refers to a groove that is inserted in a shaft. It is usually a component that interconnects the shaft to another part which includes; gears, pulleys or flywheels so that the motor can rotate without sliding. The keyway is a part of the motor that plays a critical role in the effective transfer of torque between the shaft and the other components. The shaft seal helps to prevent the loss of lubricants, by keeping the efficiency of the motor at a high level. A shaft seal is commonly made of rubber or metal so that it can ensure a firm fit and prevent the entry of various contaminants that can affect the other motor components.

The lack of a holding brake in the operation of a synchronous motor is not an issue because the nature of synchronous operation does not allow the motor to rotate when not connected to the supply. In standard asynchronous motors, the holding brakes are used to prevent the rotor from rotating when not in use. In a synchronous motor, the rotor does not rotate without the stator magnetic field that is holding the rotor even if the holding brake is not applied. The variable speeds and torque control allow the motor not to use the holding brake where the external load is constant.

Synchronous motors are widely used in industries where precise and constant speeds are required. These include large compressors, electric pumps, conveyors and electric generators where speed control is important. Due to their stability, synchronous motors are used in many industries such as power generation plants, chemical industries and heavy industries.
