Product Description:
With a multiturn encoder design, the MS2N04-C0BTN-CMSH1-NNNNE-NN from Rexroth Indramat is a very precise and accurate servo motor that with the help of this encoder that has a resolution of 2048 increments, the MS2N04-C0BTN-CMSH1-NNNNE-NN can easily move its shaft over to the requested position with minimum error rate. To keep the shaft fixed in that position, the MS2N04-C0BTN-CMSH1-NNNNE-NN comes with a 5 Nm holding brake that requires around 24 volts DC to operate and can draw up to 0.63 amperes of current based on how fast the motor is spinning. The connection time for the brake is around 30 ms delay while the disconnection delay is anywhere between 45 to 60 ms.
Since this servo motor can be locked at requested positions, the standstill rating for this motor is around 2.8 Nm while drawing up to 3.11 amperes of current. To cause this servo motor to rotate from low speeds to very high speeds in a matter of milliseconds, the MS2N04-C0BTN-CMSH1-NNNNE-NN comes with a very low inertia design, where the servo motor has a rotor inertia of 0.00016 kgm² allowing this motor to provide a good response rate.
This motor is designed to be used when the operating conditions are between 0 to 45 degrees Celsius to prevent this servo motor from overheating as this motor does not come with a blower fan or a liquid cooling option and rather depends upon a natural convection cooling method. Make sure to mount this motor on a flange at a maximum height of 1000 meters above sea level to ensure a good amount of airflow within the motor housing, which helps ensure the coil remains cool and well-ventilated.
