The MS2N04-C0BTN-CMSH1-NNANN-NN from Rexroth Indramat is designed for high-speed applications such as drilling and milling applications. This servo motor is designed for lightweight robotics applications as well as it can provide a maximum torque of 13.05 Nm and comes with a 5 Nm holding brake to lock the shaft in a particular position of interest even if the motor loses power. This servo motor has a standstill current rating of up to 3.9 Amperes ensuring high power output.
This AC motor requires anywhere from 179 to 275 volts AC to operate and the motor comes with up to 5 pole pairs that help with smooth rotation of the motor. To ensure smooth positioning of the shaft as well, the MS2N04-C0BTN-CMSH1-NNANN-NN comes with an advanced 20-bit ACURO Link supported multiturn encoder that has a step count resolution of 2048 increments per rotation and can rotate up to 4096 times. The encoder on this servo motor uses the ACURO Link protocol where the data block is 20 bits long and includes encryption techniques like CRC code for error, and Checksum code to ensure correct data is being transmitted.
This motor comes with a single M23 rotatable cable that is perfect for when the servo motor is mounted on a flange in a dense system area allowing the users to easily line up the wires without causing strain at the connector end. The MS2N04-C0BTN-CMSH1-NNANN-NN comes with a smooth shaft design, even though it is IP 65 rated, it does not feature a shaft seal ring to keep the shaft end of the servo motor sealed from various environmental factors such as dust and moisture.
